AASHIRVAAD DIWAS-February 23rd, 2024
“May the road rise to meet you, may the wind be ever at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face and the rain fall softly on your fields. And until we meet again, may God hold you in the hollow of his hand.”
MDH International School, Janakpuri echoed with God’s blessings on the morning of February 23rd, 2024, when the MDH family came together to bid adieu to the outgoing batch of Grade VIII. It was a morning of mixed emotions for everyone to witness the official send-off for the students of Grade VIII at the ‘Aashirvaad Diwas’.
The day was an extravaganza devoted to the years spent together with friends and teachers to look back on all the joyous moments. Students of Grade VII organized a mesmerising programme with great enthusiasm. The programme was a rollercoaster ride of emotions. It started with a melodious song, followed by an energetic dance performance exhibiting the eternal bond of friendship.
A humorous skit on the reminiscences of days spent in school charmed the audience. In nostalgia and reluctance but with hope and aspiration, the juniors bid farewell to their seniors and wished them luck for all they set out to do.
The Principal, Mrs Nandini Badalia, presided the occasion adding a charm to the atmosphere. She enlightened the students with an inspiring speech and urged to develop an attitude to ‘Think out of the box”. The Headmistress, Mrs Simran Kaur, told the students to uphold the school motto-Education for Knowledge, Wisdom, Character and Courage.
Grade VIII students also expressed their gratitude towards their beloved teachers by dedicating a song to them. The school’s Head Boy, Vedansh Srivastava delivered a speech expressing his heartfelt gratitude to the teachers for all the painstaking efforts in shaping them into capable human beings and also thanked the juniors wholeheartedly. The teachers and the school management also bid their beloved students a warm goodbye and wished them good luck for their future.
The day went well, filled with words of encouragement, blessings, and wishes, leaving the departing students with a sense of pride and optimism for their future endeavours. Overall, the event was a great success, and it was a great tribute to the graduating class. We will miss them dearly, but we are excited to see them embark on new journeys and make their mark in the world.
