A Memorable Visit to Amrit Udyan and Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum
On 15th March 2025, the students of Class VI, had a truly special experience—they visited Amrit Udyan (precisely known as Mughal Gardens) and the Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum. Amrit Udyan, often called the ‘soul’ of the President’s House, opens to the public every spring. Nestled in the heart of New Delhi, inside Rashtrapati Bhavan, the gardens welcomed us with a burst of colours, fresh air, and beauty all around.
As the students walked through the neatly maintained lawns, Mughal-style canals, and beautiful terraces, they couldn’t help but be amazed. There were flowers everywhere—roses in all shades, marigolds, petunias, lilies, and bougainvilleas lining the paths. Each section of the garden had something unique to offer. They were especially delighted to explore the East Lawn, Central Lawn, Long Garden, Circular Garden, and even the Herbal and Bonsai Gardens. It felt like stepping into a world full of nature’s magic!
But the visit didn’t end there. After soaking in the beauty of the gardens, they headed to the Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum. This part of the trip opened their eyes to the rich history of India and the legacy of our Presidents. They walked through different galleries where they saw rare photographs, personal belongings, gifts, and awards that told incredible stories. Listening to the guide, they learned about India’s freedom struggle, the art, culture, and traditions that shape our country. Every display fascinated the students, making them feel more connected to our nation’s proud past.
This visit was not just a trip—it was a learning journey, filled with discovery and appreciation for our country’s heritage and natural beauty.
